St Mary's Playgroup is held in Christ Church Hall in Tetbury and is a 'pack away playgroup' which has been running now for 40 years!
We are passionate about providing a learning environment that is exciting, but also allows space for the children to initiate their own learning. We are also privileged to have a member of staff who is a trained Forest School Leader to lead weekly Forest School sessions in one of two local Forest School sites. We regularly take walks around the town to visit places such as the Library, as well as having opportunities to visit Westonbirt Arboretum, the Primary School and Go Bananas during the year.
We launched the use of online journals via Tapestry to assess our children in November 2015 and use iPads to take photos and videos of the children that can then be uploaded straight away to a secure online system for our parents and families to access from home (or any where in the world!). We are really proud to be the only playgroup in town to be using an online journal system and the benefits have been felt by our parents already!
