Heidi is our Playgroup Leader and Forest School Leader, qualifying as a Primary School Teacher specialising in Early Years before taking on the role of running the playgroup in 2015. She has two young children who also attend the Playgroup and as a mum and previous member of the committee has a great knowledge of the children and our values. She is passionate about exciting learning environments both indoors and out.
Kelly is our Playgroup Deput and is highly qualified in Early Years and management . Kelly has worked in nurseries and nursery management for over 10 years. She has two young children with her youngest also attending the Playgroup. As a mum and previous member of the committee Kelly has a great knowledge of the children and our playgroup values.
Marie has been with us for 11 years where both of her 2 children enjoyed attending before she joined the team in 2004. She has a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and is our SEND coordinator. Marie has a wealth of knowledge and experience from being a long-standing member of staff and is passionate about providing high quality care for the children. She is also trained in Paediatric First Aid.
Pears Key Worker
Jenn is a qualified Montessori Teacher with over 7 years experience with children. She is passionate about providing creative and exciting experiences for children and is a parent herself of two. Jenn is a parent as well as a member of the team at St Mary's Playgroup and brings with her a calm and gentle approach.
Chair of the Committee
Darby plans and chairs our committee meetings ensuring that all committee members are included. She is involved with the recruitment and management of the Playgroup staff and ensures that the Playgroup runs smoothly and efficiently.
Darby attended St Mary’s Playgroup as a child so was pleased for her eldest to be able to join us and follow in her footsteps! She has two young boys and also works as Nail Technician.
Louise has recently taken on the role of Financial Administrator, with duties that are quite varied from issuing termly fees to parents, organising headcount returns relating to Education Grants and preparing annual accounts.. to name but a few! And in her words, "It is great to be part of a local charity based playgroup providing a great service to the children in the area."
