Meet the Team

Deputy Manager and SENCO

Kelly is highly qualified in Early Years and management . Kelly has worked in nurseries and nursery management for over 10 years. She has two children both of whom previously attended our Playgroup. As a mum and previous member of the committee Kelly has a great knowledge of the children and our playgroup values and is a passionate champion for all children in her role of SENCO.

Deputy Manager

Jess has been part of the Playgroup team for a number of years, joining as a Playgroup Assistant and quickly showing her passion for childcare and natural leadership skills which has lead to her taking on increased management responsibility with a strong focus on the running and development of our Forest School. When not putting her energy into Playgroup, Jess can be found cheering on her young son at Rugby or at Ballet with her young daughter, who also attends St Mary's.

Playgroup Assistant

Marie is our longest standing member of staff! Both of her children enjoyed attending St Mary's before she joined the team in 2004. She has a NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and a wealth of knowledge and experience. Marie's passion for providing high quality care for the children shines through in the warmth and energy she gives.

Financial Administrator

Katie is our Financial Administrator, with duties that are quite varied but incredibly vital to the running of our charity setting and our success. Katie has two children who previously attended playgroup and is still passionate about seeing our setting thrive within our community.

Chair of the Committee - Abi Cooke

Abi has been part of the playgroup community since attending our drop in 'stay & play' sessions back in 2019. Her eldest son attended playgroup until leaving for School in 2023 and her youngest will start in 2024. Professionally, Abi's background is in office management and training coordination both in the education and charity sectors - most recently for Gloucestershire Counselling Service.
